Amsterdam, Netherlands

Updated: Jun 3, 2019

So we woke up really early yesterday in order to get on the bus and drive to Amsterdam. We took the ferry across the channel and spent most of the day on the road. When we finally arrived, we took a canal cruise to see the city. Unfortunately because it was pretty dark none of my pictures from that are very good. One of the most interesting things we saw was the front of Anne Frank's house (I believe it's the one behind the tree). The tower is the Westerkerk Tower. That night we walked through the Red Light District.

This morning, we had three hours in Amsterdam before we headed out. So we spent some time in the Rijks Museum. Our favourite room had huge model ships. Including a display where they had a ship cut in half, with a mirror so we could see inside, and holograms of people on the mirror doing various sailor activities. It was pretty cool! I didn't take a picture of that, but here are some other things we saw.

We couldn't stay for long, because we had to go meet the bus. But on the way we did some souvenir shopping and grabbed lunch. Then we met up with the rest of our tour to catch the bus!
